Sad to hear, but if it fails, search online for the ISO—there should be plenty available on torrents or file servers. Just confirm the hash to ensure it's clean.

I’m setting up the ISO I received on my main machine, which has pirated 8.1, but I still managed to get the reserved update. I extracted the file, wrote it onto a USB stick, and now it’s installing on my laptop. When I tried using the Windows 7 product key during installation, it failed, so I’m proceeding without one. I assumed the W7 key would work on Windows 10, but I’ll just wait for a key generator. It’s really hard to spend that much on an OS if I need to save money for a new 1080p monitor—currently I’m stuck at 1366x768.
