Windows 10 infinite startup loop issue (requires assistance)
It happened this way... I changed the processor settings in msconfig.exe before exiting. While doing so, I saw a section called timeout. After some investigation, I set it to 3 seconds, which is the minimum. Now, after restarting my laptop, it crashes and displays "Preparing Automatic repair" followed by "Diagnosing your pc." I've tried everything I know, but I need your help. Any suggestions would be really helpful! Thanks, Code.
first thing I would try is getting into safe mode, this can be done by holding the power button to force it to shutdown while it's trying to boot, after 2 or 3 times it usually with give you recovery options, go to > repair > more options > startup settings
It's intriguing, but I'm not sure how to explain it. You might consider fixing it with a Windows boot USB if you have one.
I’m not confident about this; I think watching a guide would help. I’ll attempt it tomorrow.
I don’t have a USB drive. If other options fail, I might reset while preserving my private folders, though that’s still a last resort
The reset functioned successfully. That was my final choice, and yes, it resolved the issue. I performed a reset using files, which helped Windows maintain my data securely.
