Hello. I moved to Windows 10 yesterday and everything functioned smoothly without any driver issues. However, today I observed that apps aren't appearing when I search for them. For example, typing "groove" or "edge" returns nothing, even though they worked perfectly the previous day. This issue began after installing Office and VS 2015, where searches didn't locate the applications. It seems like an indexing problem, as all my searches now display the "We're getting search ready" message at the top. Are others facing this problem? Do you know of a solution? Thank you in advance.

Perform a fresh installation following the upgrade or just apply the update? Did you retain your files and configurations for the upgrade process?

I performed a fresh installation and upgraded, choosing the wipe option only to enable Windows 10. After that, I downloaded the ISO and formatted both of my drives. It’s as clean as it gets—I saw some threads on the Windows 10 subedit, but no solution has been shared yet.

1) Look for "Indexing Options" in the Settings section. 2) Find "Windows Search" in the services list or open the MSCREEN, stop it. 3) Remove the Windows.edb file. 4) In the already opened Indexing Options window, choose "Modify" then select "Delete and Rebuild" for the index. You may also set a different drive to save the index. This works with Windows 8.1...

Hey, thanks a lot for the assistance and fast responses. I was planning to proceed, but then I tried a restart and indexing resumed: blush. Probably missed the first rule when troubleshooting "Thought shall turn it off and on again."
