I believe upgrading is a good idea, but I've heard both positive and negative feedback. What are your thoughts on Windows 10?

Windows 10 has worked well for me. I'm happy I made the change.

I’d wait for the bugs to be resolved and for DX12 to be genuinely used.

I still have my DX11 graphics card until the end of summer, so... not a big deal. Don’t worry about the DSX12 just yet... and I was hoping for a GTX 970.

I'm aiming to collect the cash by early to mid September, so ... yeah

I've noticed a few minor issues, but nothing affecting performance. I felt confident enough to switch my workflow system after testing it on a less important device, and it worked smoothly with an Nvidia GPU (GTX970) without any problems.

Only recorded issues that you can resolve later.

If you're okay with some potentially annoying bugs, universal app crashes, sleep/wake problems, and reduced battery life, Windows 10 works fine. The OS itself is quite solid. The main concern seems to be that the developers rushed driver updates at the last minute instead of during public beta testing. Perhaps they assumed a release in October would happen, so they didn't treat it seriously enough. We don't know for sure. However, most issues you might face will likely be driver-related. If you need the best experience, wait until all hardware manufacturers have released updated drivers.
