Windows 10 discount codes are available on trusted sites for around $10. It’s possible to install without an activated copy, though you’ll miss some personalization features like wallpapers. A small watermark appears in the lower left corner, which doesn’t bother me and I don’t usually notice it.

If OP can obtain it for free, it clearly justifies itself. I’ve tried a few sites selling Windows keys and never faced any issues.
