Windows 10 fails to restart once it wakes up from sleep.
Good morning everyone! I’m facing a puzzling problem where my PC won’t restart after waking from sleep. Here’s what happened: recently, I swapped my motherboard from an MSI X99 SLI Plus to an ASRock x99 Fatal1ty gaming pro i7. After the upgrade, I performed a fresh Windows 10 install. Prior to this hardware change, everything functioned normally—until a faulty USB port forced an upgrade. Now, the system boots correctly and loads from the right drive, but when I power off and turn it back on, it fails to resume. This occurs whether I use the power button, mouse, or keyboard. To fix it, I’ve tried resetting RAM and CPU clocks, confirming the correct boot drive, ensuring sleep mode isn’t disabled, verifying USB wake capability, disabling hibernate via command prompt and power settings, re-seating cables, updating BIOS, reinstalling drivers, updating Windows, manually reseating RAM, and even changing the boot drive port. I also replaced SATA cables, updated NVMe drivers, applied BIOS updates, and cleaned driver installations. Despite these efforts, the POST code 33 still appears when using Dr. deBug. I’m exhausted and unsure what else might be causing this. I’d prefer not to reinstall Windows if I don’t want to keep it running 24/7. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
