Jello77 reports that both displays function properly, though the second screen is currently handling the Raspberry Pi task temporarily.
It seems unclear about your question. When the driver is removed, does the HDMI connection function properly? Have you considered reverting to a previous driver version?
And I don’t have a DVI to VGA connection, so I’ll need to purchase one. But I can change my main monitor to use the DVI instead right away—so I won’t have to wait. Edited September 27, 2016 by motoenduroboy
