The problem appears to be intermittent freezing events where the system halts completely while audio stays active. In games, everything functions normally until saving is about to start. Browsing or web use causes slowdowns, crashes, and complete shutdowns without any visible hardware issues. Some actions like pressing Restart or Shut Down work temporarily, but not always. The PC won’t respond at all after a restart, even though the motherboard seems fine. No buttons respond except during Windows Start. Certain commands (like CTRL+Alt+Delete) don’t work. Mouse movements are normal, but video and sound behave oddly. No errors appear in system logs beyond a general shutdown notice. Frequency varies, sometimes weekly or less often. Possible causes include software glitches, driver problems, or overheating. I’ve tried updates, scans, and hardware checks, but nothing resolves it consistently. It’s been happening for several months now.

It might have happened because the New Start Menu API and DWM API aren't designed to manage varied processing needs. For instance, some apps rely on DirectX, others on DirectXDraw, some on OpenGL, and some don't use hardware acceleration. This inconsistency can cause confusion.

Could there be a way to resolve this situation? It's really annoying.
