Windows 10 doesn't wake up from sleep and the update failed.
Hey there,
I’m a bit uncertain about where to share this, but I think someone might be able to assist.
I’m relatively new to PC gaming and recently invested in a solid setup, aiming to learn and experiment with some moderate overclocking. I managed to assemble a gaming PC without any major issues!
However, everything went smoothly until I upgraded my power supply from 850w to 1200w and started trying overclocking. I was as careful as possible, reading up on the process. In the BIOS, I only adjusted the Base clock speed and Vcore values. I used Aida 64 and CPUD for stress testing and temperature monitoring.
During this process, I encountered a few "Overclocking failed" alerts. I gradually adjusted the Vcore and base clock speed until I reached 4300mhz at 1.275 volts, with a temperature around 70 degrees.
After a few hours of stress testing, it performed well. But then I faced another issue: my computer wouldn’t wake from sleep (I had to keep holding the button) and displayed an "overclocking failed" message upon restart. So I decided to reset everything back to defaults. Everything is now back to normal, though my PC still struggles with waking from sleep every time.
Later, I tried updating the BIOS and performed a fresh Windows 10 installation, but the problem persists. I’m determined to resolve this and achieve a stable, reliable overclock. Any advice would be invaluable!
Thanks in advance!
