Many users encounter difficulties with Windows feature updates (1703, 1709) when using Samsung nVMe SSDs as boot drives. They notice an error code 0xc00000bb during reboot and can't access the boot device. This issue was documented in a troubleshooting thread on Microsoft Technet. After facing the same issues for eight months, I discovered that turning off certain SMART settings in the BIOS helped resolve the problem. By updating Windows to version 1803 and using the Windows Update assistant, I was able to get a stable update without further complications. This solution came from a random post on the ASUS website.
