I recently switched from Windows 10 to 7 and noticed noticeable input delays while playing games in windowed or borderless mode. I investigated the issue and discovered that DWM enforces v-sync on Windows 10. There seems to be no straightforward solution, unlike the workaround available for Windows 7.

There isn't a simple solution for Windows 10. You might consider turning off the DWM feature during gameplay or simply using fullscreen mode.

Disabling DWM doesn't crash the system. Fullscreen works but it remains a frustrating, unstable issue with game menus.
