I moved my appdata from the SSD to the main HDD for space, but it caused issues with the Windows start menu. I brought it back to the SSD, yet logging in now shows a completely black screen. I tried restoring the system but couldn’t access the last restore point. After four attempts, it finally worked. EDIT: Updated April 30, 2017 by CynicalPopcorn Fixed it myself.

Only folders compatible with Windows are allowed. Unsupported items will cause complications. Your personal folder like Documents, Pictures, Videos can be relocated. Files in AppData or Program Files remain fixed. For unsupported changes, consider using System Restore by booting from a Windows disk or USB, selecting Repair, and restoring your system beforehand. If issues persist, switch to an admin account, move everything there, and remove the old one. You can also create a new account directly from the command line after booting, enter admin commands, restart, log in, and transfer files without using System Restore.
