Hello everyone, I've completed the upgrade of my PC and installed Windows 10 64-bit. All my applications now appear as 64-bit when I click automatically, and some programs like GeForce Steam, Skype, and Chrome show up as 32-bit in Task Manager. Is this normal behavior? Shouldn't they be using 64-bit instead?

Typically, most applications run on 32-bit architectures. That seems typical to me.

When downloading drivers, make sure you choose the correct bit version for your system. If you select 64-bit Windows but see 32-bit apps, it might be due to a mismatch in settings or driver configuration. Double-check your system requirements and ensure compatibility. Let me know if you need help!

GeForce Experience operates in 32-bit format. If you selected the NVIDIA version, the drivers are 64-bit by design. All drivers need to be 64-bit for compatibility.

You've just had two separate moderators reply to your thread. Imo that's a rare occurency. Just saying, another way to find out which bit a program is then just see if it's in program files (x86) or not. If it's not 64 bit, then it won't be in that folder. Technically that's also a useful tip for finding a program without the search function

I remove any files labeled as 32bit, using the 64bit Chrome version. I don’t rely on Google services. About 20% of a 5820k at 1.5 seems unusual.

I was considering maximizing performance with my 5820k and 980 Ti systems. All my games and software are on the x86 platform, and I was curious if they displayed as 32-bit in Task Manager. If that’s typical, it should be fine. Thanks everyone!
