Hello, I’m reaching the end of my tether with an ongoing problem. This affects Chromium-based browsers on Windows 10. I just installed a fresh Windows 10 on a separate SSD, but the issue continues. I’m using a desktop with an Advent AWCAMHD15 1080P webcam (the only one available in my budget). I can’t access the camera inside any Chromium or Chrome browser, even Edge doesn’t work, though my Snowball mic functions for voice calls. I’ve tried Firefox, which works fine, but all my passwords and saved data remain tied to Chrome. I’m trying to avoid switching OS since I mainly play games on Windows. I’ve searched extensively for a solution, but no clear answers have come up over the past year. One thing that stands out is in Windows 10 webcam settings, Chrome or Edge aren’t listed as allowed apps for camera access. I’m curious if this is the root cause, as shown in the screenshot below. Anyone have suggestions or fixes that could help? Thanks in advance. -Chalkie

Found a comparable issue with my Lenovo laptop. In Chrome, enter "about:flags" into the search bar. Look for the "MediaFoundation Video Capture" experiment and turn it off, then restart Chrome to see if it resolves the problem.
