Upgrading from Windows7 to Windows10 has both advantages and disadvantages. The benefits include improved performance, newer features, and better security updates. However, potential downsides might involve compatibility issues with older software or hardware, learning a new interface, and possible data migration challenges. Your experience suggests personal preference plays a big role, as some users find Windows7 more stable while others prefer the newer OS.

Windows 10 offers quicker startup and better performance during games. However, Windows 7 remains slightly more stable at the moment. Additionally, Windows 10 includes DX12, a unique capability exclusive to Windows 10.

I indicate this since it offers ongoing updates throughout the device's lifespan

Just download and install WindWS 10. It’s the future. Upgrading eventually happens, so it makes sense to start now. This is the latest version of Windows.

Stay relaxed. While Windows 10 works well, there are certain aspects that could be seen as drawbacks.

I suggest Windows 7 instead of 8, 8.1 and 10 most of the time. The only advantage would be a tidier desktop without clutter from shortcut icons. Even then, I’d likely trade that for the look and feel of 7—it feels more natural and modern with its clean design.

Yeah, I think Windows 7 remains superior. Perhaps I should hold off until the final month of the free Windows 10 upgrade.
