I’ll need a bootable USB and an ISO file for a fresh Windows 10 installation. The product key from Windows 8.1 Pro isn’t required unless you want to activate the new version.

It's the same process as any other Windows installation, including using ISO and USB drives. I'm not sure about the key yet, but I might receive a new one for version 10.

I believed with 7 or more we could receive a free 10. I really wish I wouldn’t have to purchase another key. It doesn’t help for a fresh setup, just an upgrade.

You receive the upgrade, but it's unclear if we're using the old key or a new one. Check your earlier post for details.

You need to upgrade at least once to change your key from 8 to 10.
