You have the option, though I wouldn't recommend relying on it as the main operating system (unless the consumer release arrives).

You are allowed, though it remains a development version, so placing it on a separate partition or another drive with Windows 8/7 is recommended.

I'm running it as my primary operating system, but the newest version is causing issues with copying files—especially when trying to transfer many folders through the explorer.

You might be able to, but I’d suggest using it on an older machine if you have two and treat it as a trial since it’s still under development.

Your system supporting Windows 7 or 8 can accommodate Windows 10. For special peripherals or add-ons, consult the manufacturer; generally, Windows 8 drivers fit Windows 10. In rare cases, you might need to launch the driver setup via Windows 7/8 to clear OS restrictions. Windows 10 is close to its final release phase, with 1-2 more builds expected before it launches officially. Microsoft is actively working on app development, interface improvements, and resolving remaining issues in the new Start menu. Core functionality should be complete.
