You won’t locate an affordable and verified key anywhere. For budget options, consider the gray market. For legitimate purchases, obtain it from trusted sources like Microsoft, Newegg, Amazon, etc.

It's a gray market. The risks will be similar to those on other platforms.

When one vendor lists an item at $100 while another advertises it for $99, it’s just standard competition. But if the second seller suddenly drops it to $1, it raises red flags. In short: If you spot a key seller online with prices significantly lower than the listed official price... it’s likely a gray market situation.

The most dangerous outcome would be operating in an illegal grey market, risking legal consequences and damaging reputation.

You might receive a purchased key obtained through stolen credit card details, which are generally flagged and removed promptly. These keys often have time restrictions, are single-use, or belong to virtual environments. They won’t provide any assistance from Microsoft, and using them outside their intended license could lead to deactivation.

IANAL, but if they're offering keys obtained through unlawful means and you purchase them, it's practically the same as buying any other stolen item. It might result in a fine or even imprisonment. In reality, according to what I know, usually nothing occurs for you—at most the seller is removed and the keys are rendered unusable.
