Make a model router? Go to the official website of the maker to find the User Guide or Manual. Make sure you are at the real site, not some fake one just because the name looks similar. Many fakes give alarms and wrong warnings when people look for manuals. Even if you have the manual, it might not show all menus or settings well. But reading it can tell you more about how to change things like configuration options and trade-offs. = = = = So here is what most routers do: Start by going to the router. To get in, just type 192.168.0.1 into your computer's browser. This IP address is very common for routers. You should be asked for your login name and password now. Log in. Then look through all the tabs and menus—you will see lots of things to change or set. Don't mess anything up! CANCEL helps you stop mistakes. Find the lease time setting. The format changes, but you usually can set how long it stays. It might have a default number and a maximum limit. Watch out for units: days, hours, minutes... If possible, take a photo of the screen to keep track and print it before making changes. When you change the lease time, you must "SAVE" or confirm it in some way. Reboot your PC and run "ipconfig /all" again to check if the router's setting matches what you set on the computer.

Windows IP Configuration Host Name is DESKTOP-KE79J6T. The primary Domain name is Node Type Hybrid Routing turned off. No WINS Proxy was set up. There are no Ethernet adapters connected right now. The connection for Ethernet adapter says it uses Realtek PCIe GbE Family Controller with the address 2C-F0-5D-8C-D3-F5. DHCP turned on and autoconfiguration is also turned on. IPv4 address is 192.168.0.233. The subnet mask is 255.255.255.0. My IP lease started Sunday, January 7, 2024 at 2:29 PM and it expires Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at 2:29 PM. The default gateway points to 192.168.0.1. DNS servers are 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. NetBIOS over Tcpip is enabled. Wireless LAN adapter Wi-Fi has no connection, so the media state is disconnected. DHCP turned on for Wi-Fi adapter. Autoconfiguration was also turned on for that one too. There are two more connections named Local Area Connection*1 and 10, but both had their media status as disconnected.

I turned off IPv6 in my network settings on the Ethernet page under Networking, but that didn't solve everything. I even tried changing my DNS stuff, but nothing worked either.

One of the default IP addresses on a TP-Link router is 192.168.0.1. What is that list and where did it come from? Did you change any other settings on your routers? Run the command "arp -a" inside Command Prompt and show me the results here. Also, do you have another working Ethernet cable that works well without issues?

The cable itself isn't the issue, but I will test ARP again. When I type arp-a, it does not show up as a valid command in the list of networks I used. My guess is that resetting the settings on both Wi-Fi and LAN connections to their default values solved this problem.
