Your configuration works well on Windows 11, but some recent updates have made Ubisoft titles unplayable. Many people feel the transition from Windows 10 to 11 is smoother, though it can vary by game. Considering your experience with 11 and the fact that it still felt like a different operating system, it might be wise to move forward with building your new setup.

Win 10 is nearing its end, and many new programs can no longer run on it. You’d probably stick with version 10 only if you really need it. Otherwise, you’ll likely have to move to Windows 11 soon.

I recommend sticking with Windows 11 unless you’re ready to invest in extended support for Windows 10. Regarding the Ubisoft issue, it seems the fix has been applied. https://windowsforum.com/threads/windows...ed.349441/ For other concerns, compatibility matters with Windows 10 will likely be deprioritized once Microsoft ceases providing free updates for it.

They didn’t extend it yet? Probably they’re looking for a refund. If you’re mad, old versions are fine. I’m still upset about half my XP/Vista not working on 10/11. I didn’t upgrade to the new ones because I already paid for them. Maybe Windows 7 or 8 is the fix? Either way, APT might just hold off until December, and even-numbered versions seem to work better. FTFY

For a brand new machine, using 11 is sufficient. Modern software will handle it without much issue.
