Hi EMENCII, if you install Windows 10 now, you should be able to play games there. It seems similar to the transition from Windows 7 to 8, where compatibility was expected. Just keep in mind the version you're using and check for any updates before starting. Good luck!

If you're only upgrading for gaming, skip it. For a primary machine, avoid it completely. I personally didn’t find Windows 8 beta valuable enough to invest in.

The only reason to try Windows 10 preview is to simply explore the operating system. It won’t improve gaming performance. In fact, you might experience crashes while playing games. Use Windows 10 only on a second machine, enable dual boot, or run it in a virtual environment to test the new features and appearance.
