Hey everyone, I'm working on fixing an old laptop to sell and fund my new R9 380 Nitro. I'm not using any pirated Windows 7 ISO files and need to apply the activation key found on the bottom of the machine (which is for Windows 7). Will the serial number still work with the motherboard? Thanks! P.S. That thing looks amazing.

I told him not to include it in the thread just in case moderators intervene. Later I realized I should address your concern directly—I think it may not function well, especially when changing vendors, as the key could fail or behave unexpectedly.
They appear to be fairly lenient about it, though it isn’t really discussed much. I’ve been here a while now. Yes, I mistakenly downloaded the incorrect language version, but hopefully I got the correct one. The site that verified the key indicated it was an OEM key, so I can’t re-download the ISO even though it’s allowed.
