Hello everyone,

After spending a considerable time with my previous PC, I chose to assemble a new one using all the knowledge I've gained over the years.
I understand most parts can work well together, but I have a few concerns.

If anyone observes any inconsistencies or potential issues during the build, please inform me.

Questions:
1. Can the 7200mhz CL34 fit with the i7 13700K?
2. Is the MSI 4070 TI GAMING X TRIO a suitable speed, noise, and cooling alternative? Would another 4070 TI be preferable?
3. Will the NZXT vertical GPU mount suit the H7 case well, or might the cooling performance be compromised due to the case size?
4. Is an 850W power supply sufficient for this setup?
5. Should I wait for the i7 14700K and a new motherboard?
6. Do the Corsair Premium PSU kit and Lian Li cables work with the PSU and other components?
7. I’d like RGB cables to connect my GPU and motherboard.
I’ve heard it’s risky to use different cable brands in the PSU, is that accurate?
Also, do the Lian Li cables match the Corsair PSU?

PC specifications:
- MSI GeForce RTX 4070 Ti GAMING X TRIO 12G
- ASUS ROG STRIX Z790-H
- Intel Core i7 13700K
- Samsung 990 PRO 2TB M.2 SSD
- NZXT H7 Elite 2023 Black Midi Tower
- NZXT Kraken 360 RGB Black
- Corsair DDR5 Vengeance RGB 2x16GB 7200
- Corsair RM850x PSU / PC voeding
- NZXT Vertical GPU Mounting Kit
- Corsair Premium Individually Sleeved PSU Pro Kit
- Lian Li STRIMER Plus V2 24-Pin
- Lian Li STRIMER Plus V2 8-Pin

Thank you.

I would suggest lowering the memory frequency. How much are you spending on the RAM kit?
2| It depends, what else do you have besides the MSI card mentioned earlier?
3| I’d skip vertical riser cards because I prefer a more traditional setup, wanting to reduce cables/connectors/adapters.
4| Yes
5| If it were me, yes—I’d wait.

Hi,
Your message is clear. The RAM cost 145 euros. The price differences aren't too big. I was also considering a 4070 ti asus strix oc.
Best regards.

It seems like you're describing a setup for playing intense games on your PC. The text suggests that this configuration will make the PC feel challenging.

A pleasant high-end configuration. My considerations: 1. The specifications indicate 7200(oc) is acceptable. But on RAM, don’t prioritize extremely high speeds for gaming, especially with an Intel processor. Saving money isn’t necessary chasing RAM rates for games on AMD or Intel systems. Revisiting the common question gamers ask when setting up a new gaming rig: does RAM speed really matter? www.pcgamer.com 2. I’m not an expert in graphics cards, but your choice seems sensible to me. 3. The case’s natural airflow works best with the GPU in its standard position. You might try swapping positions, but you probably won’t notice much difference. 4. An 850W power supply should suffice. Modern GPUs can experience significant power surges; a 1000W PSU is usually adequate. Switching from 850W to 1000W shouldn’t cost much more. A PSU will only draw the power it needs, not more than its rated capacity. RMx would be a top-tier option. Also check Seasonic focus/prime. 5. Value is ultimately personal. Leakage suggests a slight timing increase compared to the 13700k. Early adopters might pay more. If you seek better performance, consider upgrading to the 13900K? 6. I’m always keen on swapping out crucial parts like PSU cables. I don’t just want flashy RGB lighting. I’m also now wondering what benefit a premium air cooler provides. They don’t last forever; eventually the fan stops working or gets blocked. Air can seep through the tubes. Think of an AIO as a five-year rental. Also, how crucial is heat management for a gaming setup? Check this video: Core i9-13900K Cooling Guide: Testing Intel's Flagship With Budget Air and Big AIOs The Core i9-13900K can push even the most powerful liquid coolers to their limits, yet you won’t lose much performance if you opt for budget air cooling. You might find a simple noctua NH-D15 to be simpler, quieter, and more reliable.
