Considering the plans to purchase the Noctua nh-d14, wondering about potential clearance issues with my ram on my ASUS Z170 Pro gaming setup?
Why choose a discontinued item?
Opt for the latest models like the NH-D15 or NH-D15s

What memory are you using?
I currently have a Kingston HyperX 8GB (2x4) at 2133, I believe.
Which one? Savage, Fury, Predator?
Check this out:

The Phanteks PH-TC14PE performs equally well, costs less, and allows higher fan placement for more space around the large RAM modules.

You could also go for the Scythe Mugen Max, who was specifically designed to not collide with the RAM if the Noctua reply doesn't fit
