Hello,
I placed an order for a 1st Player NGDP 1000W power supply about a week ago. It had a minor rattle problem when the fan was running. I chose to buy another identical one and used the cables from the old PSU with the new one. Both units are identical, sourced from the same supplier. I checked the MES IDs—one was verified at the factory on 25/11/2023, the other on 12/12/2023. After starting the PC, everything appears normal and there are no visible issues.
Since the PC started without problems, should I worry about using the original PSU cables for the new one? I wanted to clarify whether this could cause future issues or if it’s safe now.

What has changed since yesterday? Question - Is it possible to reuse the cables from the old PSU to the new one? Hello, I recently ordered a psu with an NGDP 1000w gold rating about a week ago. It has some rattling problems with the fan, so I just got another identical one for testing. Could I reuse the cables from my original PSU to the new one? It only takes 5 minutes, compared to redoing everything... forums.

I completely missed that I started a thread yesterday lol
Just wanted to check if any more problems might arise over time when using the cables from the other PSU, if everything looks okay now that's all

Its best to use the cables that are supplied with a new PSU. Just a general rule of thumb with PSU's. In my experience using old cables with a new PSU resulted in a fire situation. I am grateful I was home and I was alerted by the smoke detectors in my home. Believe me you do not want to take that chance.
