Will QuestionFrame appear in Valorant?
I recently got frame drops in valorant which makes my game lag, even capping the framerate at a certain point doesnt help at all. i feel like i get more lagspikes even though i capped it with rivatuner. I really don't know what else could be the reason that makes my game lag so hard. could the budget PSU and bad airflow in the case affect the performance? GPU is at 78 degrees max, CPU is around 66-67 degrees. my specs are: mobo: B450 MSI Pro m2 max (updated the bios already) ram: Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x16GB 3200MHZ cpu: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 gpu: Nvidia Geforce GTX 1660 Super cooling: NZXT Kraken X53 psu: Aero MPC-Power Silent 650W storage: SSD 480GB Solid State Disk EMTEC HDD 2TB Seagate BarraCuda
Welcome to the forums! You have a B450 MSI Pro m2 max, but I've already updated its BIOS. What version of BIOS are you currently on for your motherboard? Also, what OS do you use? If you're using Windows 10, tell me which version (like Home or Pro), not just the edition. Could a cheap power supply and poor case airflow make a difference to how fast it runs? Yes, they might affect things. You missed out on telling us the brand and model of your PC case, as well as whether those fans are facing up or down inside that case. Have you tried running DDU to wipe all graphics drivers from your system, then manually reinstalling them using an administrator right-click on the installer file (like Right click>Run as Administrator) by going to Nvidia's official support page for the latest drivers?
The BIOS version is 7B84vAF, but a small graphics glitch slipped in after my update. I'm not sure if this matters. It looks like a tiny black box somewhere on my screen. I'm using a custom Windows 10 20h2 ISO (OS Build 19042.631). My case is the Be Quiet! Pure Base 600, and I put in a 240mm AIO at the front with two fans on top and one in the back. I downloaded my driver using NVCleanInstall (my current driver is version 516.94), which is already the newest thing out there. Maybe I should try reinstalling it with DDU instead.
You need to install one more BIOS update and also refresh your operating system because we have stayed on version 21H2 for almost a year now. After that, you should remove the old graphics card drivers by running DDU. Do you want to know about how fans should be oriented?
