What are you doing right now with the processor/platform? You're advised to overclock the system only when what you're doing seems to be lagging or you feel like the system can give you more. Also, what is the make and model of your motherboard, the PSU and the rams you're using? If you're not in dual channel mode(with a kit) then I'd advise on going that route.
You could also tighten the timings on your ram kit if you're gaming, to get a boost from your Ryzen platform.

OEM cooler is barely sufficient without an OC, consider upgrading.
