I was gaming Valorant when my PC froze. After restarting, it booted but displayed a BSOD with a system exception right before I wanted to return. Since then, I can't start up if RAM isn’t set to auto or at 2400MHz. I’ve tried lower voltages too. Higher voltages work, possibly I can also control the CPU. Previously, it ran smoothly with a 3400 OC and tighter timings, but my RAM is a 3000MHz XMP model. My PC specs: Gigabyte B450M gaming R7 2700, 2x 8GB ballistics single rank CX 650 plus bronze RX 2070 mini Galaxy PS. I used BIOS f50 but switched to f32 for testing without any change.

Begin by clearing the CMOS, setting the SOC to 1.1 Dram at 1.35, and test 2933 using docp/xmp. If it boots, run memtest86 or OCCT to verify stability. Proceed to 3000 and then use memtest86 or OCCT 3200, noting that performance gains may be minimal. The quality of the ICs and the IMC plays a key role, and results beyond 2933 aren't assured.

No, you haven't adjusted the soc to 1.1 and dram to 1.35 yet. You mentioned trying 2933 but haven't confirmed the settings.

Try a lower frequency of 2666. Also, just confirming the voltage you used after overclocking.

I used the dram timing calculator up to 1.48 for testing, though I was setting it at 1.46 for the 3400 case.
