will my pc be fine?
will my pc be fine?
so i just bought rdr2, and i'm playing it on the highest settings possible, my GPU temperature is around 77ºC barely reaches 80ºc
i am wondering if i am in risk of overheating my PC or can i still play with these settings?
My pc isn't overclocked.
CPU: Intel core i7-8700k
GPU: Nvidia geforce GTX 1080 TI
RAM: 32GB DDR4
1x 500GB SSD
1X 250GB SSD
thanks
that cpu iirc has problems after 95°c. and the problem is it will reduce speed to control temperature, it will not end burned or something
you are just fine, remember this game does put pressure on cpu and gpu, so you are seeing it work hard and is normal
The GeForce GTX 1080 Ti has a thermal limit of 91°C, significantly below the throttling temperature of 91°C for this GPU. The reference Nvidia GPUs are not as well cooled as those with aftermarket coolers, and may peak at around 70-75°C. The thermal throttling temp of a 1080 Ti is 84°C. Built-in thermal limits prevent damage by reducing frequency when temperatures reach critical levels. The i7 8700k has a max temp of 100°C, and it’s assumed that the CPU would be throttling as well. Adding another intake fan can help improve airflow to the GPU if needed.
