Your Ryzen 7 2700X should work with an AM4 motherboard that supports the AMD Ryzen 3000 series. You won’t need a different CPU unless you have specific requirements.

It functions with x370, x470, x570 boards (b450 or b350). The b550 model doesn’t work.
