i have an amd 8 core 4.2ghz 8350 with an msi gtx 970 and 8 gb ram. during summers, i play a lot of games, mostly gta v. i can run the game smoothly even when i increase settings to ultra, but sometimes my pc shuts down automatically. i know the issue is likely because the cpu gets too hot, around 90+ degrees. i've checked the case fan and it stays fine at 70-77 degrees, but i don't want the fan to be open all the time. i'm wondering if underclocking the cpu or adding more fans would help.

It seems like you're experiencing an overheating issue. Could you tell me what CPU cooler you're using and your current configuration settings?
