I've heard many opinions, but I'm unsure if it will cause a bottleneck. My friend, who is 15 years old, believes it will and thinks he knows more than others. What do you think?

It's a dual-core processor, which sets a constraint for the setup. However, it should handle tasks effectively in the meantime until you can upgrade to something more powerful.

I promise to keep the word bottleneck off the forum. It really does cause issues—every computer has one. You can't have a PC without it, and what you use as your bottleneck will shift with each task. They seem to function well together.

the cpu runs well but games needing at least four cores tend to perform less. the graphics card is already slow, so overall results should improve.

The situation varies based on the games and their requirements. At higher resolutions or graphics settings, the GPU might be the main constraint while the CPU handles the rest. Lower resolutions or settings usually let the CPU manage performance better. Some modern AAA games demand more from the CPU than the GPU, making it a limiting factor. Competitive titles often push users to lower settings, so the CPU becomes the bottleneck. Many people confuse whether two components will bottleneck without giving full details about their setup. If you share your specific hardware and plans, I can assess whether the issue remains relevant.

Much less so, but not completely. The main issue is "The CPU never will be quick enough to match the GPU." In short, no matter what you do, the CPU always limits performance. (It was shown before when using a 2080 TI with a Core 2 Duo or similar— the CPU couldn't supply enough data for the GPU. That’s a clear bottleneck.) Anything comparable in age or capability will still work fine overall.

I believe your view on a bottleneck varies from what most people understand. Usually, folks say a CPU limits a GPU when its usage stays under 90%, due to a CPU constraint. They rarely consider such extremes.

Sorry if I upset you or if I shared some information about PCs and their parts. I’m more comfortable with software than hardware, but I appreciate your feedback.

I'm enjoying gameplay similar to CS:GO Mordhau and others that don't require a powerful PC. I'm also planning to dive into FiveM R6 Apex or similar titles, and I'm using a 1360x768 resolution because my monitor looks like a Sony TV.
