Yes, acknowledging the failure of Windows 8/8.1 is understood. However, given the conflicting performance specifications, if support for Windows 7 is included, consideration should be given to supporting Windows 8/8.1, assuming a relevant user base remains. I must concede my personal dissatisfaction with the Windows 8/8.1 GUI layout, start menu, and associated buttons.

Initially, I was somewhat frustrated by the requirement to increase from version 7 to 10 for compatibility reasons; however, despite some minor issues, Windows 10 is a positive upgrade. Build 1903 continues to perform well, as evidenced by my experience with titles like Wolf Youngblood. While I haven't yet mastered the game, it has become more enjoyable as I gain familiarity with it.

Windows 7 is supported, consider trying it first. Microsoft is ending Windows 7 support in 2020, which may persuade you to change. Consider dual booting Windows 10 on a separate drive.

I will attempt to launch Gears 5 on Windows 8.1 upon release; failure to open it indicates incompatibility.

I cannot preload Gears 5; it repeatedly displays an error.

I am utilizing Windows 8.1 as well, and I do not desire a transition to Windows 10 on my machine. Windows 8.1 has consistently proven to be the most stable operating system I have ever used. Furthermore, based on your statements, it appears I will not be able to play Gears 5.
