I'm working on a PC build and my motherboard is an ASRock A520M-HDV. My PSU is an Asus TUF Gaming B 450W 80+ bronze. During setup, I noticed the power connector was an 8-pin instead of a 4-pin. I inserted half of it out of curiosity, but when I unplugged it, the connector split into two parts—half remains 4 pins and the other becomes 8 pins when the clip is reattached. Should I keep the 4-pin section or purchase a sleeve that converts to 4 pins?

The 8-pin connector can be divided to connect with either 4-pin or 8-pin boards. No converter is required.
