The whole piracy and emulation issue is just nonsense. I don’t even pay attention to it. No games are hurting sales because of emulation piracy. And sure, you can share the files—check out the Citra website guides for dumping 3DS titles. Pretty cool.

Absolutely, that’s a good point. It feels puzzling why the hardware changes are so drastic compared to older systems. It seems odd that we now have powerful PCs handling huge data, yet we struggle to replicate older formats that were typically less demanding.

Uncertain about the Xbox 360 yet, but clear that the PS3 operates very differently from a PC. That’s likely why emulating it isn’t feasible without extremely powerful equipment—or maybe not at all. The Cell design is significantly distinct from the standard PC X86 architecture we’re familiar with, which makes coding a real challenge.
