You can link both routers together. Connect the D-Link to your existing LAN setup and then connect the Nokia mesh routers to the same network segment. This way, you maintain your LAN devices while extending coverage with the mesh routers.

Having multiple routers on a network can lead to complications if not configured properly. The mesh feature won't function with the DLink router, which is a known issue. Connecting a router to another router adds two layers of firewalls and NAT, potentially causing problems. It's unclear if mesh works in AP mode, but it's worth experimenting with.

I discovered this information on Nokia's site. It looks like beacons can work in bridge mode, which means they can integrate with a current router setup.
