I've experienced Bell Internet for two years, which worked well until we started facing constant packet loss and slow connections. I noticed this during a game called Fortnite where my ping was high and unstable, and the packet loss matched the fluctuating readings, unlike normal 0% loss. After fixing it with a new router, I now face frequent WiFi drops—often disconnecting and reconnecting on my computer. My daily disconnections are around 20 to 30 times. Speed tests show we're hitting about 50mbps download and 10mbps upload speeds, which is close to our full potential. Ping remains strong between 6 and 7. Some people might think the issue lies with the router, but I'm not sure until I speak with the Bell technician. Your insights would be really helpful. Thank you for your time.

Checking your device specs: 2.4GHz or 5GHz? Do you reside near many neighbors, such as in an apartment building? Are you near a cell tower? Considering possible signal interference.

What type of wireless router are you employing? Position it in a more central part of the home with minimal interference for the antennas. Placing it near a wall or behind a couch will restrict its coverage. Connect as many devices as possible via a wired link— Ethernet offers greater stability and consistency compared to wireless. Conduct a wireless site survey using WiFi Analyzer (available from the Microsoft Store) or a comparable app on your mobile device. Note the signal strengths across the 2.4GHz and 5GHz spectrums. Share your current wireless router configuration, leaving passphrases out of the discussion.
