I purchased a PCIe Wi-Fi card from Amazon that advertises Wi-Fi 6. However, in my settings it appears as Wi-Fi 4 and only shows 2.4 GHz. Speeds are extremely slow, ranging from 20 Mbps to almost none, while other devices like my laptop and phone perform much better. The drivers seem up to date. What options do I have?

I don't have a specific make or model of my wireless router. My settings are determined by the device itself, and I haven't tested any changes yet. You might want to check your router's label or settings menu for details. Consider moving closer to the router to improve signal strength. The distance between your computer and the WiFi source affects reception quality.

It originated from our ISP (a general connection, not specific).
The standard setting applies (even with Minecraft server port forwarding).
My PC can’t be moved—it’s in my room upstairs near the router.
My mom’s laptop in the next room receives 50mb/s, but she’s above the router.
We don’t have a WiFi booster installed on either device.

It's much improved now. I updated the settings in Device Manager to use a dual-band version, allowing it to operate at 5 GHz on Wi-Fi 6. It runs faster than before, though not as quickly as some alternatives. I navigated to Device Manager → Network Adapters → [WiFi card] → right-click → Properties → Advanced → set mode to 802.11a/g/b wireless.
