You could likely install a video card in the larger PCI slot, as it’s designed for that purpose. The smaller PCI slot is meant for graphics cards, so using a wifi card there wouldn’t work properly.

Count the available USB ports and how many are currently active. The motherboard sets this, but you also have additional USB input from the front case. If you run low, consider a USB hub—don’t move the graphics card out of its slot.

You can fit x1 cards into an x16 port. The PCIe slot dimensions aren't important, but performance will match the slower standard.
