Hello, I own an MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC Mobo. When I install the WiFi antennas, internet speeds drop significantly, almost impossible to use. I've adjusted their placement and position without improvement. Removing the antennas makes the connection much faster. Previously, I was getting 15-20 MB/s, now it's only 1-2 MB/s.

It's unusual to have more without than with. Could the antennas be faulty? Outside sources might be causing interference. A protocol switch would also matter—this could require hardware adjustments. There are various types; some are much more focused than others. Stick antennas are omnidirectional. Antennas come in different shapes: plates, Yagi, or even cantennas. Cantennas are interesting—they’re made from Pringle cans and other parts.

Have you considered refreshing the drivers for your WiFi NIC? It seems counterintuitive to expect slower speeds with antennas, so a software update might be the solution you're looking for.
