dongles aren't the best option, though they function. Using the smaller PCIe lane on the board for a Wi-Fi adapter—whether with or without Bluetooth—can be quite useful, but I don’t know any affordable ones. Most should work fine, and it’s unclear which version to choose.

My roommate relies on a budget TPLink adapter for gaming, and it performs well enough. If you're looking to save money, it's best to avoid USB connections and opt for two antennas instead of one.
