WiFi 6E device struggling to connect with a 5G router (network problem?)
Hey everyone, I just upgraded my PC with a new 6E motherboard (MSI MAG Z790 TOMAHAWK WIFI). I have two routers set up for testing. My computer connects to the weaker one (ATT 5G) and gets online, but with the stronger gaming router (TP-link 5G) it shows connected yet no internet access. All other devices are working fine on each router. When I switch to the gaming router, it displays signal rates but nothing loads. I've tried several fixes already: reinstalling drivers from MSI, rebooting both PC and router, clearing DNS, and checking if the SSID splits between the 5G and 2.4G routers—none of that works. The TP-Link Archer 3200 Tri-Band Wi-Fi 6 is also connected but not functional. Any advice would be appreciated!
It's clear from what you've said. Since you didn't specify, I'll confirm the connection.
Hello there! Do you have two Wi-Fi connections available? You can link to the TP network using your phone and access the internet via it. Be sure to disable mobile data for this setup.
