Right now my Wi-Fi router is on the ground floor and isn't reaching all parts of the house... I asked a technician to put it up in the ceiling of the ground floor. He said the signal would drop quickly below the router... Does that mean the ground floor won’t have good coverage? Since my home isn’t very large—about 110 yards in size—it might be true?

It varies based on the router model and wall/floor materials. Also, consider whether you're using 5GHz or 2.4GHz devices.

My router is located on the second floor in my bedroom. I experience strong WiFi coverage throughout the house. Of course, the area directly beneath the router has weaker signals but still sufficient for my dad to stream content. Generally, WiFi routers perform well in horizontal directions but struggle with vertical signal reach.
