Wib 11 repeatedly requests that I install something.
I own a Dell 5490 laptop running Windows 10, and I’m frequently prompted to upgrade to Windows 11. This morning when I started my laptop, it showed two choices: download now or schedule the update within 24 hours. I chose to ignore it, so I shut it down. It also mentioned downloading to my desktop instead of the laptop—why would that be? Since I’m still getting familiar with Windows 10, I don’t need Windows 11. If I proceed, it should replace Windows 10 for about 30 days before reverting. Can I get the download ready for installation while keeping Windows 10 active? If so, would I need to create another partition afterward?
my popup has a skip or cancel option. why are you keep asking? question - is this possible? my laptop is suggesting installing win 11, but i need it for my desktop. can i move it to my desktop using external drives? if not, would it be possible to install on my laptop and then copy it to an external drive, aiming for my desktop? forums.
