I previously shared thoughts on this subject and discovered a gaming PC at a landfill. Everything seems to function properly. It has an MSI motherboard, specifically the i76700, GTX1060, and essential components. The system runs Windows 10. I’ve checked the RTL8192CE Wi-Fi card—it requires two antennas for connectivity, but I don’t have them. However, I can still see other networks and my hotspot is active, so I’m unsure whether I need to purchase a dual-band USB Wi-Fi adapter from Walmart or just buy a network gear USB Wi-Fi card. I’m also uncertain about the Wi-Fi quality since I’m in a camper about 25-30 feet from the router. Please share your thoughts on this link: https://www.walmart.com/ip/NETGEAR-AC600...s/47507531

The physical antennae are essential for extended range, especially for 5GHz and Bluetooth signals. If everything functions well as it is, there’s no immediate reason to act. You can easily purchase antennas at any electronics shop—just verify the connector types match.

Uncertain about why the USB adapter isn't functioning properly. Did you remove it from Device Manager and restart your computer? It should reinstall automatically. Once that happens, check if your network appears. If you can connect to other networks, the problem might be elsewhere. WiFi 6 supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies. Make sure all Windows updates are installed, as they could resolve any pending issues.

The issue is that I can’t see my personal network, but I can see my neighbors. It’s unclear if it’s the network itself or if purchasing this adapter would help.

Surprisingly good for its location! I'm really impressed.

I removed the drive and reinstalled it via the scan for new hardware option. After that, I powered down the PC and it didn’t respond—possibly the same process again, though I’m not sure. Definitely not a problem, honestly! 😄

That outcome seems pretty consistent. Let us see how it looks after updates, though I'm not too sure it'll change much—just don't count on it! The best thing I found was a Blu-ray drive I pulled out of a PC while I was a teen... simpler days!

Sure, I think it makes sense to visit Best Buy for an ASUS USB Wi-Fi adapter. It should work as a replacement for the original one.
