Why those 50fps look so bad on my PC?
I've been checking some benchmarks on YouTube to test my games, and they seem to run smoothly at 30fps with high scores. But when I'm on my 59fps setup, it feels like only about 10fps. That's odd since my monitor is 60Hz. What could be causing the difference?
The time needed to display a single frame changes depending on the frame rate. At 60 frames per second, a frame appears roughly every 16.67 milliseconds. In practice, these times fluctuate, with some frames rendering faster and others slower. If the gap between frames becomes too large, the experience can feel choppy rather than smooth. Framerate values are usually shown in graphs, highlighting variations across frames.
Usually they don’t use methods that make things smoother without being able to adjust them.
