Why people use MacOS?
I own a MacBook Pro since 2015. Back then it was top-notch for its time—great display and a solid i7 processor. I relied on it for photo editing, and it still performs well today. It’s quick (i7 HQ, 16GB RAM, NVMe SSD) and handles Lightroom and Photoshop nicely. Even without constant troubleshooting, it runs smoothly. I appreciate MacOS for its design and simplicity; I’ve done clean installs just to try new operating systems. My Windows 10 setup is my go-to too—great for gaming and productivity with upgrades and optimizations.
If Microsoft said Windows 11 looked like this, I’d skip it every single day. The interface is really bad.
Mid-2012 13" MBPs were some of the strongest Macs ever built, I'm currently using one. The 2015 15" models are likely the best I've seen, especially since I worked on editing back then—it's a powerful laptop with plenty of ports and solid construction. The newer ones seem to have many problems now.
FinalCut works well and offers a straightforward pricing model. It performs smoothly on various Mac models, from Atom 12" to iMac Pro. It’s fully operational and enjoys strong support from independent creators and studios. I learned to use Premiere, but FinalCut Pro stands out with many benefits over it.
