Thanks for all the suggestions! My friend suggested an NVMe SSD, but I'm wondering if it's really the best choice for speed. Should I consider alternatives like the MX500 instead?

The performance differences between NVMe and SATA SSDs are usually small for everyday users, particularly when using a 2700 RPM drive. As Aragorn mentioned, your system might only fully support SATA while ignoring NVMe.

I omitted the CPU details; the issue seems related to the disk, which occasionally reaches full usage when opening something.

The board includes a M.2 slot, and using a mechanical drive shows the disk remains fully engaged most of the time.
