You should open the Device Manager to check your network adapter. Right-click on the adapter and hit Properties. In the window that pops up, look at the list on the left side and the drop-down menu on the right. Click through those settings carefully. You can change how fast your network card runs, for example from 10/100 to 1000 or even faster like 2.5G if you have a modern PC. There are many options here too (like power controls) and lots of websites online explain what each one does and which changes are okay to make. The biggest mistake people make is messing up the wrong setting, but then they just right-click the device in Device Manager, choose Uninstall, restart their computer, and let it find the card again on its own.
