Hey friends, someone here knows why my sound is stuttering or slowing down? This is happening a lot of the time and honestly, it's super annoying. Thanks for all your help!

I'm using a Ryzen 5 3600 CPU and a B450 Gaming plus motherboard. My RAM is Kingston Fury DDR4 at 3600MHz with 16GB, my graphics card is the GTX 1080, I have plenty of storage on the Western Digital drives (about 931GB total), and one of them is a fast SSD for speed.

try this step by step one after another: Turn off your internet connection. Use a tool called DDU to remove the graphics card driver and make sure you don't restart until it's done. Remove every single processor on your computer; you should have 12, but when it asks for a restart click "No" instead of pressing enter and keep removing each one. In the Control Panel search for AMD Chipset Software and uninstall it if it is there, but skip that part if there is no option. After all these steps, turn off your computer completely so you can go to the BIOS menu. There you will see a link to update your BIOS software; click on it and wait until the update finishes. Once the update is complete, go back into the BIOS and choose "Load Defaults" or "Optimized" settings instead of your old ones. Make sure CSM (Compatibility Support Module) is turned off and also enable "Above 4G Decoding" and "Resizable BAR". You can't do those two things without turning off CSM first, so make sure to uncheck them now. Save all the changes in the BIOS and exit it. Turn your computer back on and install the newest graphics driver; you should see version number 4.03.xx listed. After that, turn back into the BIOS again just in case, and set up an "XMP" profile so your RAM works at its best. Put both sticks of memory in slots two and four if you only have two sticks installed. Before starting any steps, download all the files mentioned in bold text so you don't run out of things to do while doing Step 1. Follow the list strictly from start to finish. Open "Command Prompt" as an administrator and type these three commands: chkdsk /x /f /r, sfc /scannow, and check for Windows updates if they offer anything new (but skip optional updates). In your graphics settings, make sure Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling is turned on, but only for NVIDIA cards. Also make sure you have one main power cable for each slot; use the long main cable and not the short split cables coming out of the PSU.

It didn't work at all, but maybe I figured out the problem. If anyone has this same issue, just tell me what you did. I have a UMAX webcamera plugged into my PC. While playing and Discord was open on another monitor, the camera started changing microphone settings over and over again, making my audio stutter. After unplugging it, I haven't had any more stutters since then. It's really strange that it fixed things for me, but I don't know why. Thanks Koekieezz for trying to help!
